What is Kabuki?

Kabuki is a Roblox experience in the Battlegrounds & Fighting category. The developer describes it as a yakuza street roleplay game. It takes place in a modified version of Kabukicho, the nightlife district of Shinjuku in Tokyo, as it looked in 1988. The streets are a place to live a second life: you can sing karaoke, go clubbing, eat ramen, or fight other players on the street.

The game is made by a Roblox group called Oicho Kabu. It was created on July 9, 2026 and stayed small for its first months. In early October it passed 500 players online at once, and a week later it sits at several thousand. This Kabuki wiki started at that point, because there was no place that kept the basic facts in one page.

How Kabuki plays

Kabuki mixes two things. One half is social roleplay: karaoke rooms, clubs and ramen shops are there to hang out in. The other half is street fighting against other players. Which half you spend time in is up to you.

Your character is rolled, not picked

The part that makes Kabuki different from most fighting games on Roblox is the character menu. Your height, fighting style, nationality and last name are decided by rolls. You spend a roll, see what you get, and keep it or roll again. Fighting styles come in rarities, and a Legendary style such as Muay Thai is the kind of result players chase. The Kabuki rolls page explains what is known.

Gangs

Players can form gangs. Creating a gang is a paid option in the game's store and costs 499 Robux. It was added in mid-September 2026. How gangs work once created, and what joining one involves, is not documented yet.

Jobs

One of the codes was called JOBS, and the name points to a jobs feature. This Kabuki wiki does not have a verified list of jobs or their pay yet, so we are not publishing one until we can confirm it.

Kabuki codes in short

Codes in Kabuki give free rolls. Seven codes have been released so far and all of them have expired. The most generous was 500CCU, worth 100 rolls, which was added on October 4.

To redeem a code, open the character menu (press H on PC, or tap the person icon at the top of the screen on mobile) and type it into the box under your luck multiplier. The Kabuki codes page has the full steps.

What this Kabuki wiki does not know yet

Kabuki is young and the developer has not documented much. Rather than fill pages with guesses, this wiki lists what is still open:

  • The full list of fighting styles and the chance of rolling each one.
  • Complete controls for attacks, blocks and grabs. Only the H key for the character menu is confirmed.
  • The list of jobs and what they pay.
  • What nationality and last name change beyond how your character is shown.

If you play Kabuki and can confirm any of these, the contact page tells you how to send it in.

Where official Kabuki news comes from

There is no official Kabuki wiki and no public Trello board. The developer posts news in two places: the Oicho Kabu community on Roblox and the Discord server linked from it. New codes are announced there first. The Kabuki game page shows when the game was last updated.
